Faces of SUSS #12: Isaac Lee

#FacesOfSUSS 12

"I was a part-time student studying Bachelor of Counselling from 2009 to 2011 in SIM University (now SUSS). I met inspiring lecturers like Mr Laurence Ho, Mr Chua Wee Bin, Mr Wilson Mack and Mr Wong Lip Shoong. They strengthened my passion to be a counsellor and were key to my journey in graduating with a Bachelor of Counselling in 2012.

I involved myself with the planning of Graduates Night 2012 with my fellow graduates and staff from the Alumni Relations Office. I had an unforgettable time planning and organising the Graduates Night for the graduates of 2012 with my committee members! We’re still in touch after all these years.

After graduation, I worked for around 4.5 years before embarking on a social work role in a senior activity centre. My agency elected me to take a Graduate Diploma in Social Work at SUSS. I completed my bridging modules and reconnected with Mr Wilson Mack, who was a lecturer for one of the modules.

Though it was challenging to study and work at the same time, I passed my Graduate Diploma modules and befriended some great course mates. SUSS is truly my choice of institute for lifelong learning and I am glad to have been taught by such passionate lecturers and studied alongside such fun classmates."
