Teaching Listening and Speaking in the Malay Classroom (MLL203)

Synopsis

This course focuses on the teaching of listening and speaking skills in the Malay language classroom. It will explore the latest trends in communications and group learning practices. Links will also be made with previous modules on the structure of the Malay Language in terms of forms and function to establish between forms of formal and informal Malay speech. Key areas discussed will include spoken discourse features and politeness.

E-Learning: BLENDED - Learning is done MAINLY online using interactive study materials in Canvas. Students receive guidance and support from online instructors via discussion forums and emails. This is supplemented with SOME face-to-face sessions. If the course has an exam component, This will be administered on-campus.
