Over 130 participants attended SUSS’ annual pitch event, Alibaba Cloud-SUSS Entrepreneurship Demo Day on 28 May 2019. Startups, students, staff and friends of the community gather to network over coffee and snacks, visit participants’ booths while gaining insights on entrepreneurship and the makings of impact driven businesses.

Investors from TRIVE Ventures, BANSEA, AngelCentral and Jungle Ventures were also present to grace the event as panel speakers and judges for teams who have successfully made it through to the final stage of the programme.

Congratulations to Good For Food, who emerged as champions at the Alibaba Cloud-SUSS Entrepreneurship Demo Day! Their smart food waste tracker can seamless measure, track and identify the different types of food waste.

SPEAC.CO, a startup who developed an integrated and secure platform where transcriptions are automated and stored efficiently clinched the second prize, while GroopBuy came in third place. The startup helps consumers synchronise their orders and deliveries in a cost-efficient manner.
