In recognition of academic excellence and leadership potential, Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) offers scholarships to outstanding new as well as existing students pursuing their undergraduate studies at the University.

This is a premier scheme aimed at providing high calibre students the opportunity to develop their full potential in their chosen discipline.

Who is Eligible?

You must be a Singapore citizen or permanent resident with outstanding academic results, strong language skills, an impressive track record in co-curricular activities; demonstrating leadership qualities and zest for involvement in community service.

New students should seek admission to the programme separately and must have already been accepted for admission before being considered for the scholarship. They should possess outstanding Singapore-Cambridge GCE A Level, local polytechnic diploma, International Baccalaureate diploma, NUS High School diploma or equivalent qualifications.

The Scholarship is not available for students applying to the Law programmes.

Tenure of Scholarship

Each scholarship is awarded for the minimum period required to complete the full programme of study, as stipulated by the programme. Scholarship is only awarded for part-time undergraduate programmes.

Value of Scholarship

The award covers 100% of course fee (inclusive of government subsidy) for recipient's remaining candidature of study. It includes course materials, examination fee and other compulsory fees, as well as Miscellaneous Fees. There is no bond attached to the scholarship.

How to Apply?

Scholarship application period:
January Semester: 1 August to 15 September
July Semester: 1 February to 15 March

To apply for the SUSS Scholarship, you need to submit your application online by the stipulated closing date. You may wish to view the e-guide before you apply for the SUSS Scholarship.

For new students, you must submit your admission e-application first before submitting your application for the Scholarship.

Previously unsuccessful candidates need not re-apply.  Candidates will be notified of the application outcome via email by end November for the January Semester, and by end June for the July Semester.

The decision of the Student Awards Committee of SUSS is final and binding, and no reason will be given for the non-selection of unsuccessful candidates. No appeal will be entertained.​​​​

Who is Eligible?

  • Part-time female undergraduate from the S R Nathan School of Human Development;
  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident with good academic and co-curricular activities records, active participation in community service, possess strong language skills, and demonstrate leadership qualities; and
  • Completed at least 2 semesters (1 year) of studies.
     

Tenure of Scholarship

Each Scholarship is awarded for the recipient's remaining candidature of study. There is no bond attached to the Scholarship.

Value of Scholarship

The Scholarship covers up to S$10,000 and will be used to offset the tuition fees for the recipient's remaining candidature of study.

Who is Eligible?

  • Part-time undergraduate pursuing a degree programme (with MOE subsidy) in BA Translation and Interpretation;
  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident with good academic and character records, demonstrate leadership qualities, and active participation in co-curricular activities and community service; and
  • Priority will be given to students with monthly household Per Capita Income (PCI) of S$2,500 or lower. Consideration will also be given to applicants with medical condition or whose family members suffer from debilitating illness.
     

Tenure of Scholarship

Each scholarship is awarded throughout the recipient's candidature of study (within the normal candidature period). Recipients have to maintain a CGPA of 3.5 to continue receiving the scholarship.

Value of Scholarship

Each award is S$12,000 and will be used for the recipient's candidature of study. There is no bond attached to the scholarship.
