DAS Academy

DAS Academy Ltd is a Private Education Institution (PEI) registered with the Committee for Private Education (CPE), an agency under SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).

Formally the training services arm of the Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS), DAS Academy was officially incorporated on 19 February 2010, to provide training services for parents, caregivers and educators to be well-equipped with skills in supporting learners with dyslexia and other commonly co-occurring Special Educational Needs (SEN).

DAS Academy, as a training subsidiary of the DAS, provides a comprehensive list of courses ranging from workshops to specialist diplomas to higher degree courses. The courses provide a multi-disciplinary perspective of SEN, tapping on the practical experience of the team of educational therapists, psychologists, and speech and language therapists at the Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS). Having established a strong professional standing in this field, DAS Academy counts the Ministry of Education, mainstream and international schools as her partners in the journey of empowering educators who wish to make a difference in the lives of people with SEN.

On 23 April 2019, DAS Academy signed a collaboration agreement with SUSS, solidifying the collaboration between these two educational institutions. The Understanding Dyslexia e-learning course is the first of DAS Academy's initiative to transcend traditional classroom boundary and allows parents and educators, in Singapore and beyond, to gain a better understanding of SEN, especially dyslexia support. For more details on the e-learning course, please refer to the SUSS’ UniLearn platform.
