With over 50 years of legacy, Outward Bound Singapore (OBS) is the pioneer and leader in outdoor education in Singapore, providing adventure-based experiential learning to help develop rugged and resilient youths. From 1 January 2015, OBS is part of the strengthened National Youth Council to drive youth development and broaden outreach to young Singaporeans and youth sector organisations.
On 28 September 2018, OBS and SUSS came together to sign an MOU to collaborate on initiatives, programmes and activities for professionals and practitioners in the field of outdoor education (OE). The partnership will look into development and delivery of a part-time graduate diploma programme in outdoor adventure education with OBS. The programme is designed for experienced outdoor educators who wish to enhance and acquire advanced knowledge and skills to be effective leaders in the field of outdoor education or to extend their professional development.
