Republic of Singapore Air Force

The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF), formerly known as the Singapore Air Defence Command (SADC), was established in 1968. It is the air arm of the SAF, equipped with various platforms and systems to safeguard the airspace.

On 4 October 2011, SIM University (UniSIM) and the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Counselling Centre signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to explore and provide for the educational needs of SAF para-counsellors through Counselling courses offered by UniSIM's School of Human Development and Social Services.

The parties will also explore and establish mutually-beneficial activities that will strengthen the capabilities of the respective communities, through clinical supervision, and other collaborative activities.

On 25 May 2011, SUSS signed an MOU with RSAF and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) to develop RSAF’s personnel professionally and academically through the SUSS-ERAU degree programmes. This agreement is an extension of the existing cooperation between SUSS and the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), established through the MOU on Strategic Partnership on Continuing Education signed on 27 February 2009.
