Synopsis

The Fifth Industrial Revolution has resulted in shifts and disruptions that have the potential to connect billions more people to digital networks, dramatically improving the efficiency of business decision making and organisational processes. This course examines the evolution of Industry 5.0 and its applications in the business world. It provides a comprehensive coverage on the role of data, information, knowledge, as well as various Industry 5.0 technologies and applications. Students will learn about the opportunities and challenges of Industry 5.0, including the personalisation and humanisation aspects of business, and how organisations and knowledge workers can prepare themselves to reap the benefits of a sustainable, human-centric, and resilient industry in this evolution.
