Striking Unity: SUSS & Ray of Hope Celebrate Community at SG60

Sonic Bowl echoed with laughter and cheers as SUSS Bowling and Ray of Hope, for the second year running, hosted the Building Community Champions through Sport initiative. More than just a bowling event, it was a vibrant celebration of joy, inclusivity, and meaningful connections.

Through sport, SUSS fostered bonds amongst migrant workers, youths, and diverse communities, creating a space for genuine interactions. Teams were purposefully formed with a mix of migrant workers, Ray of Hope volunteers, and SUSS Bowling students, ensuring an inclusive experience for all.

This initiative is a testament to our commitment to building a cohesive and united society. It reminds us that every connection made and every bond strengthened contributes to the fabric of our nation.

Together, let’s build a future filled with hope and belonging. Let’s take action today for a stronger Singapore tomorrow.

The day began with a vibrant 'Lo Hei' ceremony, as SUSS student-athletes prepared Yu Sheng, symbolising good fortune and unity. As teams, a mix of migrant workers, volunteers, and beneficiaries, took to the lanes, challenges turned into triumphs, and strangers into friends. The bowling alley became a symphony of laughter and applause, a joyful celebration of both community and Chinese New Year.
