1SUSS is a dynamically elected group of student voices that is autonomous from the University Administration in its operations. This group consists of innovative and aspirational student leaders who come together to voice out the community's needs and wants while aligning with different stakeholders.
Student leaders hail from various academic disciplines, academic stages, modes of study, and student groups. Together, they represent the university's diverse student population and work collectively as student representatives in addressing their fellow peers' concerns. The common goal is to champion initiatives for students by students through regular feedback sessions, fireside chats and focus group discussions. The community of student voices is spearheaded by the 1SUSS Executive Committee (1SUSS EXCO).

Focus areas for 2024
- Identity - Establishing our identity and generating awareness among the SUSS community through our various signature events:
- Student surveys.
- Focus group interviews.
- Fireside chat with upper management.
- Spearheading the semi-annual Student Life Fair during SUSS Orientation.
- Concerns - Listening and proposing solutions from the ground to our university's upper management.
- Representing SUSS students' voices on a platform where their needs and wants will be heard and communicated through the appropriate channels and avenues.
- Creating a holistic and inclusive learning and growing space for all SUSS students.
- Results - Producing and documenting tangible results for our SUSS community.
- Providing transparency of the sentiments of the SUSS student population and the actions that the upper management is actively adopting in addressing our students' concerns.
