Core Learning offers various programmes to enhance our students’ English language skills. These include the English Proficiency (EP) Programme, Writing Coaches and Writing Workshops.
The EP Programme consists of 5 self-paced courses comprising a diagnostic course and 4 language enhancement courses (LECs) that target different aspects of the language.

This coaching service is designed for students who need individualised help to improve their English writing skills, e.g., writing techniques, use of citations, etc. Coaching sessions must be booked in advance and are available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
These workshops offer students the opportunity to refine and practice their writing skills for various purposes and contexts in small group settings.
Writing Workshops
A list of resources curated and developed for SUSS students ranging from academic writing to discipline-specific writing and research writing: writing up qualitative research. These resources include purposeful strategies with accompanying examples for better understanding and application of writing strategies.
