Supply Chain Information Management and Technology

Supply Chain Information Management and Technology (LOG302)

Synopsis

Information-based visibility is crucial to maintain a virtual line-of-sight to product orders and shipments across all stages of the supply chain. Otherwise, blind spots will lead to supply chain inefficiencies. Technologies continue to evolve to capture, store, analyse, share, protect and verify data. Management must decide which technologies to use and how to integrate them into their companies and their key partners. This course provides students with an understanding of the role of information and information technology (IT) in a supply chain. Students will gain insights into the concepts and technologies that enable supply chain managers to use information to make better decisions to boost supply chain performance.
