Participants at the EnvisAGE 2021 Symposium on 11 June 2021

Why is it important to learn about the future of aged care, and what is the value of specialising in Gerontology? These were some of the burning questions and topics addressed at the EnvisAGE 2021 symposium on 11 June 2021! SUSS, in collaboration with National Library Board (NLB), organised the symposium which featured international speakers from Malaysia, China, Netherlands, and USA, in addition to esteemed local speakers, to build up future generations of elder caregivers in Singapore and beyond.

Apart from the topics above, attendees also learnt about local and international senior living options, how reminiscence therapy could be used effectively in dementia care, and tried their hands at experiencing virtual reality tourism for seniors!

The day ended with a sharing about ‘Elderpreneurship’, active ageing amongst seniors, and an exercise demonstration from Sport Singapore.

Stay tuned for more SUSS events, where we partner with government and industry partners continually, to promote social good and lifelong learning to the public!
