SUSS, through its School of Business (SBIZ), signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Jinan University and IPOS-International on 4 November 2019. The ceremony was held in Jinan University in Guangzhou, China.
SBIZ Dean, Associate Professor Allan Chia, signed the MOU with Professor Xu Xuan, Dean of the IP Research Institute and Vice-Dean of the Law School/Intellectual Property School of Jinan University. Also in attendance for SUSS was Associate Professor Calvin Chan, Director, Office of Graduate Studies (OGS) and Dr Eric Gan, Head, IP and Innovation Management Programme.
The other signatory, Mr Kok Kitt-Wai, Director of IP Academy, IPOS-International, participated in the signing ceremony via video-conference.
The MOU will advance the collaboration between the three parties in areas such as training, collaborative research and exchange of faculty, and to jointly explore and build a cooperation base to internationalise intellectual property (IP) training and research in order to cultivate more globally-savvy IP professionals.
