Raising the Bar: TeamSUSS Sets the Standard at Singapore University Games 2023!

234 SUSS student-athletes competed in 15 sports and emerged with 10 winning medals – two gold, two silver, and six bronze medals! These successes marked a significant step beyond academics, with standout performances in floorball, bowling, badminton, 9-ball, and road races.

Muhammad Ilyas Afiq, Captain of the Men’s Floorball team and a student from SUSS' Bachelor of Science in Human Factors in Safety degree programme, remarked that this season has been extraordinary. In spite of tough competitors, sustained injuries, multiple yellow cards, and countless setbacks, the team stayed focused and emerged triumphant as champions! They are committed to bringing home more medals at the upcoming Institute-Varsity-Polytechnic (IVP) Games. In the captain’s own words, he said, “Leading this team makes me incredibly proud.”
