Stakeholder Engagement for Social Sustainability

Stakeholder Engagement for Social Sustainability (ESG521)

Synopsis

This course ESG521 Stakeholder Engagement for Social Sustainability explores business practices that are potentially unsustainable from a societal standpoint and their implications for managerial decision-making. We will adopt the stakeholder view of the firm and carefully examine the different, and at times seemingly conflicting, interests of stakeholders of a business such as customers, suppliers, employees, governments, and the community at large. We will use frameworks to understand how firms can achieve economic goals while being valuable to society and study cases based on local context.
