Part-Time Diplomas in Partnership with Polytechnics

At the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), we are dedicated to making education both accessible and flexible for adult learners. We offer a distinctive pathway that allows learners to accumulate micro-credentials at their own pace, ultimately leading to a full qualification.

In collaboration with local polytechnics, we provide joint part-time diplomas that enable students to enhance their skills through modular courses while balancing work, study, and personal commitments. Each part-time diploma is structured into five Modular Certificates, delivered over individual six-month semesters. If a learner completes one certificate per semester, they can earn a diploma in just 2.5 years. Alternatively, learners can choose to spread out their learning and complete the diploma over a longer period, such as 3 years or more, since each Modular Certificate is a standalone unit of study.

Upon completing the five Modular Certificates within a five-year period, learners receive a diploma qualification from the partnering polytechnic. They may then apply to enrol in the corresponding part-time degree programme(s) at SUSS, with the possibility of receiving credit recognition or transfer. This pathway allows participants to further deepen their skills and knowledge in a related field, enhancing their educational journey at SUSS. By combining structured learning with work experience, adult learners can build on their skills and advance toward their career aspirations.

The table below outlines the collaborations between SUSS and the respective polytechnics, as well as the articulation pathways from polytechnic-run part-time diploma programmes to SUSS part-time degree programmes.
