Learn to Learn, Learn for Life

Learn to Learn, Learn for Life (NCO201)

Synopsis

The complex world we live in today requires us to adapt and handle evolving needs effectively. The set of learning-to-learn competencies presented in this course aims to provide the learners with a key means to meet this challenge. While the ability to learn is intuitive, the ability to learn effectively and efficiently entails conscientious effort. This course will strive to help students develop metacognitive awareness of their learning processes and behaviours. With the newly gained insights, students will identify and implement relevant and appropriate study skills and learning strategies. Students will have the chance to practise and enhance these skills by applying them to contemporary social-issue related learning tasks collaboratively. Content, activities, and assessments provide students with meaningful learning opportunities, and serve to demonstrate that learning is for life which can become a lifelong habit.
