The Learning Success Clinic is a learning support initiative helmed by the Teaching & Learning Centre to help students to navigate academic challenges and to develop effective academic skills.
What are academic skills?
Academic skills are generic study skills that support the learning of content knowledge. Examples of academic skills include note taking, time management, revision strategies, exam strategies, assignment preparation, procrastination management, concentration and attention.
What happens at the Learning Success Clinic?
Students will receive a 45-minute one-to-one coaching session with an academic coach, where the focus of the discussion will be on the student’s academic skills (e.g., what academic skills to develop or hone, where to find academic skills-related resources).
Where is the coaching conducted?
The coaching will be conducted via Zoom.
When is the coaching conducted?
Students get to choose when to be coached, by looking for an available academic coaching session that fits their schedule.
