"In 2012, I decided to go back to school while still working full-time in the publishing industry. It wasn't the easiest decision to make. My first year of study in Literature was the most challenging. I had to work doubly hard and spend all my holidays on my term papers.
Though I was stressed by the fast program pace, I felt a sense of accomplishment each time I passed with a top score on my papers.
Before I embarked on this study journey, I thought my age would disadvantage me, but the reverse was true. Life experience has actually enhanced my ability to better understand the subject matter of Literature, Language and Sociology. I truly appreciate the design of the interconnection among modules each term.
Through working on the research and term papers, I learnt to look at my life and our society more critically. I believe I gained more varied perspectives as a result of it."
