"I started photography as a hobby. At first, it was just portraits of friends and families at gatherings. I slowly expanded to macro, events, travel and sports photography. This hobby provided an opportunity for me to meet people who shared my photography interests.
One of the opportunities was given by UniSIM (now SUSS) to be their Alumni Volunteer Photographer. I joined them for the events, met new friends and captured their moments. This year, I am grateful to be the newest appointed addition to the 20-member strong Canon EOS World Community Ambassador club. EOSWorld is a photography community set up by Canon for likeminded photographers to meet, socialise and organise group outings.
As an ambassador, we tag along with EOSWorld to organise events, offering guidance to greenhorn participants on photography techniques. In a couple of years after my retirement, I hope to be able to work as a full-time photographer. It would be great to turn my hobby into an opportunity for extra income."
