Synopsis

ADL553 Exploring Pedagogies and Facilitation Strategies delves into ground-level, practitioner-focussed pedagogical frameworks, strategies and techniques that help build instructional rigour and repertoire, as well as participant engagement, in higher education or workplace learning environments. While course or lesson design is important and content is central, robust pedagogical reasoning and thoughtful instructional facilitation is what helps translate curriculum into the lifeworld of students in the classroom, deepening their understanding, practices and experiences. As such, facilitators, instructors and trainers of adult learners will benefit from a closer examination of both the theory and practice behind good pedagogy and sound instructional thinking.
