Synopsis

MGT576 Leading Through Impact Investing moves beyond conventional environmental, social, governance (ESG) and sustainability approaches by focusing on the transformation of business leadership and resource allocation. While traditional courses typically emphasise ESG metrics, this course focuses on the shift in leadership consciousness required for truly impactful business practices. The course explores how managers can cultivate intentionality and awareness to drive systemic change within their organisations and create multidimensional value across all business activities. Through case studies and exercises, students will learn to design and implement holistic management strategies that align both intangible and tangible organisational assets for societal impact. The course covers topics such as the integration of Eastern wisdom with Western management practices, purpose-led profit models, and the role of business leadership in cultural evolution. By emphasising both inner transformation and external impact, this course prepares managers to pioneer a new paradigm of conscious business leadership in the emerging wellbeing era.
