Adult Psychopathology (PSY531)

Synopsis

In this course, students will acquire in-depth knowledge about mental health disorders occurring in adults. They will learn to apply internationally recognised classification systems to accurately diagnose mental health disorders in adults. In addition, they will be exposed to different theoretical frameworks, learn to critically appraise the literature, and formulate evidence-based interventions for each disorder. With a strong emphasis on applied learning, this course will guide students in putting theory into practice to formulate, diagnose, and plan interventions.
