Master’s Dissertation

Master’s Dissertation (PSY699)

Synopsis

PSY699 requires students to work independently over two semesters under the guidance of their research supervisor. Students are expected to develop an applied research project in an area of interest. To ensure relevance and applicability, students are required to understand the issues on the ground first before developing the applied research project. The applied research project should be of sufficient depth and reflect the student’s ability to apply their knowledge into real-world settings. At the end of the course, students will present their research findings in both presentation and report formats through a viva voce (oral exam), and a written research report in the form of a manuscript for submission to a suitable (clinical psychology) journal.
