Synopsis

This course examines different types of disabilities, theoretical frameworks, key policies and laws, and programmes and services for the disabled in Singapore. The content covers the roles of social workers in assisting and empowering persons with disabilities, and how to support families and caregivers. Issues like grief and loss, coping, protection, disability inclusion, dignity and worth, caregiving stress and support, ethical dilemmas etc., will be covered in the course. and protection of different populations.
