The Graduate Certificate in Non-Profit Management (GCNPM) programme aims to impart and deepen the knowledge and practical skills needed to meet the unique challenges of this non-profit sector. Areas of focus include leadership skills in the social sector, stakeholder management including volunteers, ethics, governance and risk management in the non-profit sector. Whether you are interested in beginning a career in non-profit sector or you are transitioning from another sector, our programme offers opportunities at all levels to pick up new knowledge and skill sets relevant to this industry. It is also meant for those whose work involve Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) or for anyone who wants to know more about the non‐profit sector, especially on how to manage volunteers as well as understanding the broad framework on governance and aspects of risk management.
The GCNPM courses are mapped to the skills framework for Social Service and is approved for subsidy under the Skills‐Future series.
Upon completion of GCNPM and meeting all academic requirements, applicants who intend to pursue further qualifications and knowledge in the non-profit area can apply for the Graduate Diploma in Non-Profit Management (GDNPM) programme.
Each of the courses in the GCNPM programme is 5 credit units and can be taken on a stand-alone basis. These courses can be stacked to a Graduate Certificate in Non-Profit Management upon successful completion of 15 credit units of coursework.
Compulsory Courses (15 cu)
The minimum programme duration is 6 months. Classes will be conducted in the evening.
