Insurance coverage details and exclusion list

  • Group Personal Accident Insurance Scheme
  • Group Hospital and Surgical Insurance Scheme
  • Group Clinical Outpatient Insurance Scheme
  • Group Outpatient Specialist Insurance Scheme

The coverage will be subjected to the Terms and Conditions of the insurer's Policy.

After matriculation, you will be able to use the e-version of the medical card found in the Howden MediHub Mobile App when seeking medical care at the panel GP clinics to enjoy the Group Clinical Outpatient Insurance Scheme. Students are to submit claims for reimbursement via the Howden MediHub Mobile App.

Benefits will cease and you are no longer eligible to the scheme's subscription when you have/are:

  • Graduated (At the end of final semester, upon fulfilling all graduation requirements)
  • Withdrawn from your study/course
  • Terminated from your study/course
  • When the student's status at SUSS changes from Active to Inactive due to other reasons determined by SUSS
  • Pays the insured member the sum insured in the event of an Accidental Death suffered during the period of insurance.
  • Pays the insured member the sum insured if he/she suffers a Permanent Total Disablement due to an accident during the period of insurance.
  • Pays the insured member a percentage of the sum insured if he/she suffers from a Bodily Injury which results directly in the occurrence of one or more of the events listed in the policy.

This Group Hospital & Surgical (GHS) Plan is a medical expense insurance plan that seeks to reimburse the expenses incurred as a result of hospitalisation or surgery. The insurance is to provide 24-hour worldwide coverage in the event of hospitalisation or surgery. There is no minimum duration as long as (a) the Hospital makes a charge for room and board or (b) there is a surgery performed.

This plan provides for outpatient consultation. Howden MediHub offers a panel of General Practitioners to cater to students' clinical expenses for common ailments like coughs, colds, flu etc. When visiting a panel GP, students will not have to fork out any cash for care and treatment.

Students should remember to present the eCard together with your identity card, birth certificate or passport when seeking medical care. Always identify yourself with the eCard at all the panel clinics you visit to ensure a cash free consultation.

This plan seeks to reimburse outpatient specialist consultation expenses with a valid referral letter by a Registered Medical Practitioner (other than the specialist himself) and diagnostic x-ray and laboratory examinations upon the recommendation by a Registered Medical Practitioner in Singapore.
