This plan provides for outpatient consultation. AIA has made available, a panel of General Practitioners to cater to students' clinical expenses for common ailments like coughs, colds, flu etc. When visiting a panel GP, students will not have to fork out any cash for care and treatment.
Students should remember to present their AIA Medical Card when seeking medical care, and identify yourself with the AIA Medical Card to ensure cash free consultation.
For Referrals to a Government/Restructured Hospital for Specialist Treatment and/or Hospitalisation/Surgery
- If you are referred by a Panel Clinic, you are considered a Private patient.
- To qualify as a subsidized patient, you must be a Singaporean or Singapore PR, referred by a polyclinic and without reference to a Specialist by name.
- Where possible, students should use the AIA Medical Card (physical card or e-card) when seeking outpatient services.
Panel GP Clinics
- Produce your AIA medical card upon registration.
- AIA Singapore will reimburse the Eligible Expenses, subject to the limits and Co-payment/Co-insurance shown in the Benefit Schedule.
- You may have to top up for non-standard medicine or pay a surcharge for visits after normal clinic operating hours (if applicable).
Polyclinics and Hospital A&E Department
- All original bills/receipts must be submitted within 20 days after each treatment to AIA Singapore.
- If the above is not possible, please give a notice of claim via email to AIA Singapore within 30 days after first treatment and follow-up with your supporting documents for claims when available.
- AIA Singapore will reimburse the Eligible Expenses, subject to the limits and Co-payment/Co-insurance shown in the Benefit Schedule.
