Join distinguished speakers Professor Leong Wai Kum and Dr Colin Tan for an update and review of the division of matrimonial assets from the lens of Therapeutic Justice.
The speakers will focus on the substantive issues: first, the definition of property as matrimonial asset to be subject to the Family Justice Courts’ power to order division; and second, what constitutes just and equitable proportions of division that the FJC is directed to achieve. Following which, join our speakers and panellists, Mr Yap Teong Liang and Ms Tricia Ho in a panel discussion.
At the conclusion of this seminar, participants will gain an update of selected significant decisions of the FJC, the Appellate Division of the High Court and the Court of Appeal. Participants will also gain insight into how to discharge their professional duty to guide their clients towards therapeutic outcomes.
