Lynn Mc Nair

Dr Lynn McNair is a distinguished scholar and thought leader in early childhood education and care. With a profound dedication to advancing knowledge and fostering intellectual discourse Lynn has made significant contributions to the academic community through her research, teaching and public endeavours. 

Lynn holds a Ph.D in philosophy from the University of Edinburgh, where she has served as a Lecturer in Early Childhood and Froebel for five years. Lynn's research spans a wide range of topics, including Froebelian pedagogy, children’s rights, social justice, anti-racism, and alternative approaches to education.

The seminal work of ‘Putting Storytelling at the Heart of Early Childhood Practice’ represents a culmination of years of research and it has made a significant impact in the field.

In addition to her scholarly pursuits, Lynn is dedicated to mentoring students and junior researchers, nurturing the next generation of scholars. She is a sought-after speaker at conferences worldwide and actively contributes to professional organizations such as the Childhood and Youth Studies Research Group, the Association for Visual Pedagogies, and the Child, Law and Policy Network.
