The 2019 Singapore Early Childhood Education Chinese Symposium was held on 1 September 2019 at the lecture theatre of Lifelong Learning Institute. It was co-organised by the Centre for Chinese Studies (CCS) and S R Nathan School of Human Development (NSHD) of Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS).
Four speakers were invited to give presentations tailored to the theme “Teaching and Learning Chinese as a Living Language for Children in their Daily Lives”.
First on the stage was Professor Dan Fei (Below: second from the left), Dean of the School of Preschool and Primary Education of Shenyang Normal University, followed by Professor Han Yinghong (first from the left) from Tianjin Normal University, Ms. Feng Hongyi (second from the right), the principal of Bei’er Di Kindergarten in Shenyang, and Ms. Wang Yi-Wen (first from the right), supervising teacher of Tainan Sin Lau Preschool.
About 200 early childhood educators attended the full-day event.
Students of early childhood education programmes of SUSS (
BECCE and
MECE) were also given opportunities to give poster presentations. They explained to the participants their research topics, methodologies, and findings based on their dissertations during the lunch break.
The 2019 Early Childhood Chinese Symposium was supported with subsidies from the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) and sponsorships by Union Book.

2019新加坡学前教育论坛——儿童·语言·生活
新跃社科大学的新跃中华学术中心和纳丹人力发展学院于2019年9月1日（星期天）在终身学习学院（Lifelong Learning Institute）二楼讲堂举办了2019新加坡学前教育论坛。
本届论坛的主题是“儿童·语言·生活”，主讲人分别为沈阳师范大学学前与初等教育学院院长但菲教授（下图左二）、天津师范大学教育科学学院的韩映虹教授（左一）、沈阳市于洪区贝尔迪园的冯弘毅园长（右二）以及台南私立新楼幼儿园的王怡雯老师（右一）。
迈入第三个年头，这项活动同样吸引到约200名幼教老师出席
除了讲座之外，主办单位当天还安排了
新跃社科大学学前华文教育学士学位课程和
学前教育方向的教育硕士专业课程（与北京师范大学合办）的学生展出学术海报，讲解他们研究的学前教育课题。
