In a gathering of 300 industry and community partners, faculty, staff, alumni and student leaders, SUSS hosted its aptly titled "#CelebrateSUcceSS: 2023 Wrapped" event at the picturesque Gardens by the Bay, a special evening filled with heartfelt expression of gratitude to the university's esteemed partners for their unwavering support in enabling the successes of SUSS students.
The event focused on the symbiotic relationship between the university and its partners, creating an atmosphere of appreciation and recognition. Through engaging presentations and activities, #CelebrateSUcceSS showcased the significant impact of mentorship and collaboration on the students' journey of growth and achievement.
Professor Robbie Goh, SUSS Provost, delivered his welcome speech to express appreciation to the SUSS industry and community partners.
The highlight of the evening featured the enriching experiences of four SUSS students who shared their remarkable journeys and accomplishments. Hector Poh, a Year 3 part-time Psychology Student and Chairperson of the Dance Interest Group, shared about the successful organisation of a joint concert performance between the Dance and Music IG. Goh Mei Hsien, who is pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Counselling, spoke about her entrepreneurial venture with Bakenjoy, who provides customised and uniquely designed bakes. Zoe Poh, founder of SpedGow, also talked about how the social enterprise helps individuals with special needs. Lee Yun Hui, a Year 4 full-time Finance student and recipient of the Best Intern Award, reflected on her Work Attachment experience. Each story illustrated the diverse talents and achievements of our SUSS students.

The second highlight of the night celebrated the achievements of our five outstanding full-time work attachment interns (from June 2022 to July 2023) and reinforced SUSS’ commitment to nurturing young talents. Supported by the SUSS-SME Young Executive Development Committee, we congratulate our interns for receiving “The Best Intern Award”!

#CelebrateSUcceSS encapsulated the spirit of collaboration and success at SUSS, setting the stage for more fruitful years ahead. The event showcased the university's commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals and fostering meaningful partnerships. The diverse participants contributed to a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere which provided ample networking opportunities. Throughout the evening, participants actively engaged in activities to build relationships and foster valuable interactions amongst themselves.
As participants left with a sense of accomplishment and connection, the echoes of success reverberated throughout the SUSS community.
