For 10 years, Project Learn, Love, Live (LLL), a community service-learning initiative led by SUSS students, has been nurturing young minds. In partnership with PERTAPIS Education & Welfare Centre, they provide weekly academic mentoring and socio-emotional support to children and youths.
The 2023 batch of LLL mentors wrapped up the year with an unforgettable farewell bonding session with fun activities. The session kickstarted with icebreakers, followed by games that fused elements of English, Mathematics, and Art & Craft, all while promoting teamwork and curiosity.
The LLL mentors demonstrated their commitment to sustainability and taught their mentees the value of the 3Rs: reuse, reduce and recycle. In an energetic ball game, they creatively repurposed used paper from the "Guess The Drawing" game.

This session offered mentors and mentees a joyful opportunity to reminisce about their shared experiences over the past year. The children expressed heartfelt gratitude for the invaluable guidance from their mentors. The heartwarming session concluded with LLL mentors distributing goodie bags to thank the children for their enthusiastic participation all year long.

Danish Mirza, a Year 3 Supply Chain Management student and one of the LLL project leaders, shared, “The farewell event is a fitting close to a year of mentoring. We hope both mentors and children take away happy memories from this project.”
The session was an exciting celebration of the mentors' dedication and the children's enthusiasm, all while instilling the core values of teamwork, curiosity, and sustainability. As we look forward to the next decade of community impact, LLL will continue to strengthen community engagement and provide disadvantaged youths a sanctuary to learn and forge their unique identities!
