Co-Chairman of Blockchain Association Singapore Chia Hock Lai joins SUSS Node for Inclusive Fintech

We are delighted to announce the engagement of Mr Chia Hock Lai in the role of Partnership Lead at the SUSS Node for Inclusive Fintech (NiFT). Hock Lai joins NiFT with close to two decades of experience in the financial technology industry and is the co-founder of the Global Fintech Institute, CEO of Switchnovate and Senior Blockchain Advisor of Tembusu Partners. He is passionate about how technology disrupts the way financial services are delivered to consumers and businesses, and makes financial systems more efficient and inclusive.

As the partnership lead, Hock Lai will work with NiFT’s faculty to engage the Fintech community and secure philanthropic resources to support NiFT in delivering high-quality research, public education and policy advocacy for inclusivity in the Fintech sector to benefit society.

NiFT is established to train, educate, conduct research and provide practice-oriented approaches to offer thought leadership in the Fintech sector and champion inclusivity issues to meet the United Nation's 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. Together with the SUSS faculty, industry fellows and practitioners, the Node will serve as a catalyst for change, providing a nurturing environment for regional and international experts in this field to come together to analyse, exchange ideas, develop and recommend practical solutions to be implemented on the ground, in the areas of financial inclusion, sustainability and governance.
