Kudos to our team of School of Law students, Georgina Teo, Lim Xiang, Fatin Syuhadah Bte Selamat and Clarice Tan, for making it to the finals of the Legal Eagle Challenge 2021! Congratulations to Georgina Teo for winning the Best Communicator Prize as well!

Organised by the Singapore Corporate Counsel Association (SCCA), this competition puts students in the shoes of in-house counsels advising non-legal parties in a company.

"It was a good learning and eye-opening experience as we were exposed to the commercial realities of providing legal advice. We learnt what goes on behind the scenes of a corporation and how to provide legal advice that is practical and relevant from a business viewpoint. The entire process leading up to the finals was definitely a challenge and it would not have been possible without all the support and guidance from SUSS and the law faculty," shared Georgina.

For this year’s challenge, the team had to play the role of General Counsel, advising a company about their social media policy. Despite the intense competition from 68 other teams, our School of Law team qualified for the finals amongst five other teams. Well done, team SUSS!
