Inclusive Ideas, Tangible Action

She highlighted SUSS’s commitment to inclusive practices, noting initiatives like the Node for Inclusive Lifelong Education (NILE) and the university’s pilot project on inclusive hiring.

Addressing Singapore’s 2030 Enabling Masterplan, she emphasised the need for lifelong learning, independent living, and accessible environments, stating,

"Inclusion must be embedded at every stage – from policy development to infrastructure planning – to ensure that no one is left behind."

Madam Halimah also urged employers to enhance workplace accessibility and encouraged collaboration across sectors. She commended the role of caregivers, adding, "Caregivers carry a heavy burden, and it’s our shared responsibility as a community to support them."
