SUSS Students Demonstrate Their Strength and Tenacity at the Soldier Strong Challenge!

The Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) put on a commendable demonstration of resilience and determination at the recent Soldier Strong Challenge, a rigorous team competition organised by the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF). This demanding event tested participants' physical and mental strength through onerous challenges such as tyre flips, shoulder presses, weighted step-ups, deadlifts, and rowing.

Representing SUSS with dedication, a spirited team of eight students from the Public Safety and Security Interest Group (PSS IG), the Human Resource Management Interest Group (HRM IG), and the SUSS Dragon Boat Team trained extensively to prepare for the competition. This collaboration added extra depth and meaning to the physical struggle and pursuit of physical and mental strength. Furthermore, this remarkable instance of unity highlighted the value of teamwork and partnerships in elevating the university’s presence on such platforms.

Although the team did not clinch victory, they walked away with invaluable experiences, stronger bonds, and a renewed sense of perseverance at the day’s end. The challenge underscored SUSS' commitment to fostering camaraderie, resilience, and pride. This is just the beginning of more opportunities for SUSS to shine on both local and national stages.
