The Ethics Challenge organised by the CFA Society Singapore aims to prepare students for the finance profession which is fraught with ethical dilemmas. The challenge embodies the mission of the CFA Institute, which emphasises the promotion of "the highest standards of ethics, education, and professional excellence.” Student teams were given 48 hours to work on a case study with an ethical dilemma and present their recommendations to a panel of judges.
In the 2022 iteration of the Challenge, SUSS Investment Group fielded two teams to represent SUSS. After an intense competition, Team JEC of SUSS emerged as overall Champion, while Team Veritas Aequitas of SUSS emerged as 1st Runner up of the 2022 CFA Singapore University Ethics Challenge. Congratulations to the achievement the SUSS teams who will represent the school in the upcoming 2022 CFA Research Challenge!

Jason Thoo, SUSS Finance Degree student from Team JEC, remarked that it was a fruitful and challenging learning experience, as they had to juggle their full-time internships with the case study. However, it was all worth it as they managed to clinch the top spot and do SUSS and SIG proud. They thoroughly enjoyed the thought-provoking aspect of this challenge as well as learning from other finalist teams.

CFA Society Singapore is a professional society that brings together practitioners in the investment and fund management industry in Singapore.
