SUSS Co-Develops E-Commerce Training Courses With Lazada

On 29 March 2018, Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), together with Nanyang Polytechnic’s Singapore Institute of Retail Studies (SIRS), Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) and Singapore-based data analytics firm Sparkline, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Lazada Group to co-develop training courses for entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprise (SMEs) in the eCommerce market.

This first-of-its-kind partnership hopes to empower sellers with the right tools and ecosystem support and help them to acquire deeper knowledge and skills to quickly respond to the developments in the eCommerce landscape.

The MOU was signed by Professor Cheong Hee Kiat, President, SUSS; Mr Edward Ho, Deputy Principal, Nanyang Polytechnic; Mr Stephen Yee, Assistant Executive Director, Singapore National Employers Federation; Ms Aleetza Senn, Cofounder and Managing Partner, Sparkline; and Mr Alexis Lanternier, Chief Executive Officer, Lazada Singapore.

The topics of the Lazada-SUSS e-Commerce courses range from supply chain and inventory management, introduction to data analytics and how business owners can sell efficiently and effectively in Southeast Asia’s eCommerce market. The courses, which are available on Lazada University's learning management system, will benefit individuals including existing and new sellers on Lazada, SME owners, professionals, managers and operational staff.
