SUSS partners with established academic institutions from around the world to offer a wide range of full-time and part-time academic programmes and to provide rich learning experiences for students.
Founded in 1990, the Ong Teng Cheong Labour Leadership Institute (OTCi) is an established centre for labour education and training in Singapore. Programmes ranging from short courses to certificate and up to professional diploma courses are available for trade union leaders, labour-management groups and others interested in the industrial and employment relations field. The institute together with the Ministry of Manpower and the Singapore National Employers Federation, is a key driver of the Singapore Tripartism Forum to promote Singapore’s unique brand of tripartism. OTCi and SUSS have collaborated to jointly develop and offer “Diploma in Employment Development” (formerly known as “Diploma in Employment Relations” since 2006. Both parties have also established a ‘SUSS-OTCi Sponsorship programme’, which will allow certain members of OTCi to pursue higher education with SUSS.
