The Graduate Diploma in Digital Marketing (GDDM) programme offered by the School of Business at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) aims to equip marketing professionals and business executives on recent development in digital marketing. It supports upskilling to meet work challenges posed by advancements in technology and the disruptive innovations in business applications, processes, as well as business models that are transforming the marketing industry.

This programme Graduate Diploma in Digital Marketing caters to the emerging industrial need for digital marketing talents. It aims to nurture highly specialised digital marketing practitioners. Mid-career marketing professionals, business executives, entrepreneurs or any learners who wish to acquire professional advancement and deepen their knowledge of contemporary practice of Marketing, should join the programme. Social media marketing, marketing analytics, search engine marketing and platform strategy are key topics will be discussed in the programme.

Unique Features of the Programme

  • Stackable Programme - Learners can learn at their own paces. They can progress from Graduate Certificate in Digital Marketing (GCDM), to Graduate Diploma in Digital Marketing (GDDM) and eventually to Master of Digital Marketing, Master of Management (Digital Marketing) or Master of Social Sciences.
  • Professional Accreditation - Courses in Graduate Diploma in Digital Marketing also prepare learners to obtain widely recognised industrial accreditation such as Google Ads Certification, Google IQ Certification and HubSpot Certification in social media and content marketing.

Applicants with social outreach or volunteering experience have an added advantage. Applicants will be required to submit a CV detailing their relevant experience (education, training and/or work)

This programme is currently unable to take in international students, i.e., you must be a Singapore citizen, permanent resident or a resident in Singapore (e.g., Employment Pass holder) in order to apply for admission.

Programme Structure

GCDM students are required to complete 15 cu of coursework. Most courses are based on a 5cu configuration. The programme duration is half a (0.5) year and the maximum candidature period is one (1) year. Students have to maintain a minimum CGPA of 2.5 in their coursework as part of the fulfillment of the GCDM programme.

GDDM students are required to complete 30 cu of coursework. Most courses are based on a 5 cu or 2.5 cu configuration. The programme duration is one (1) year and the maximum candidature period is two (2) years. Students have to maintain a minimum CGPA of 2.5 in their coursework as part of the fulfillment of the GDDM programme.

These are programmes with evening (during weekday) or weekend classes. Students can work in the day and study in the evening.

The programme caters to the emerging industrial need for digital marketing talents. It aims to nurture highly specialised digital marketing practitioners.The employment opportunities for our graduates, based on their working experience, can progress from lower to higher rank managerial positions. The job roles include ecommerce associate, ecommerce executive, ecommerce manager, digital marketing specialist, digital marketing strategist/planner, marketing analyst, digital marketing assistant/executive/manager, etc.

  1. How many intake(s) are there in a year for the Graduate Diploma in Digital Marketing (GCDM), and the Graduate Certificate in Digital Marketing (GDDM)?
    Currently there are two intakes per year that take place in July or January.

  2. How long does it take to complete GDDM, or GCDM?
    The GCDM programme duration is half a (0.5) year and the maximum candidature period is one (1) year.

  3. Is GMAT or GRE required for admission?
    No, GMAT or GRE score is not required for admission to GCDM or GDDM programme.

  4. Is an interview required for admission?
    Shortlisted applicants may be required to undergo one or more interviews conducted by the University.

  5. What is the requirement to graduate?

  6. When will courses be held?
    Courses will mostly be held on weekday evenings from 7pm to 10pm.

  7. Can I apply for course exemption and recognition?
    Credit recognition may be granted to applicants for courses completed in SUSS or in approved institutions or organisations which are, or deemed to be, offering relevant graduate-level courses. Credit recognition shall follow SUSS's policy.

  8. I am working full time. Will I be able to enrol in the GDDM, or GCDM programme?
    Yes, these programmes cater to full-time working professionals. Courses are mostly held on weekends and weekday evenings from 7pm to 10pm.

  9. What happens if I do not complete the graduate programmes (e.g. Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, Master) within the candidature period? Can I apply to take the remaining courses via CET pathway?
    Students who have not completed their graduate programmes within the stipulated candidature period will not be eligible for the award of the qualification for such graduate programmes. Such students however may apply to take, via the CET pathway, the remaining courses which they did not complete under their graduate programmes as part of their personal learning and development . Such application will be subjected to the CET admission requirement. However, as such students have exceeded the candidature period for their graduate programmes, they will not be awarded the qualification for such graduate programmes even after taking and completing the remaining courses via the CET pathway (“Condition”).
