The Master of Digital Marketing (MDMK) programme, the Graduate Diploma in Digital Marketing (GDDM) programme, and the Graduate Certificate in Digital Marketing (GCDM) programme offered by the School of Business at the Singapore University of Social Science (SUSS) provide a formal and structured learning in Digital Marketing. The programmes provide a wide range of digital marketing courses to equip our students with up-to-date digital marketing theories and ready-to-apply digital marketing practices.

The Master of Digital Marketing programme aims to nurture highly specialised digital marketing professionals. It offers a choice of three tracks to accommodate different learning needs. The Generic Digital Marketing track offers the students a broad spectrum of courses covering various digital marketing topics. The Analytics track is designed to give the students a deep dive into quantitative skills needed for effective marketing campaign. The Design track imparts students with critical skills to build information and digital products, services, events and processes that are useful, useable, and desirable.

The programme supports upskilling to meet work challenges posed by advancements in marketing technology and innovations. Marketing professionals, business executives, entrepreneurs or anyone who wish to deepen their knowledge of contemporary practice of Marketing, should join the programme.

Unique Features of the Programme

  • The programme is stackable and the students can learn at their own paces. They can progress from Graduate Certificate in Digital Marketing (GCDM) to Graduate Diploma in Digital Marketing (GDDM) and eventually to Master of Digital Marketing (MDMK), Master of Management (Digital Marketing) or Master of Social Science (Digital Marketing).
  • The programme has three tracks catering to different learning needs. The three tracks are the Generic Digital Marketing Track, the Analytics Track and the Design Track.
  • Courses are co-lectured by both SUSS faculties and industry elites from top technology companies.
  • Courses in Graduate Diploma in Digital Marketing also prepare learners to obtain widely recognised industrial accreditation such as Google Ads Certification, Google IQ Certification and Facebook Blueprint Certification.


Admission Requirements

Refer to general admission criteria for graduate programmes.

Applicants with relevant work experience but with other qualifications may be considered on an individual basis.

Applicants with social outreach or volunteering experience have an added advantage.

Applicants will be required to submit a CV detailing their relevant experience (education, training and/or work)

This programme is open to Singapore citizens and permanent residents, other residents, as well as international students.

Programme Structure

The Master of Digital Marketing programme offers a choice of three tracks: Generic Digital Marketing, Analytics and Design tracks.

The programmes are stackable and provide students with different pathways and exit points to accommodate different learning needs. Modular courses may also be taken individually, via SUSS Academy and recognised for credit when applying for admission to the GDDM and MDMK programmes.

Graduate Certificate

Modular courses under GDDM programmes may be taken individually, via SUSS Academy.

SUSS Academy students who successfully complete 15 cu specified courses and attain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.5 will be eligible to apply for the Graduate Certificate in Digital Marketing.

Graduate Diploma

Students are required to complete 30 cu of coursework from the Digital Marketing Core Courses. Students have to maintain a minimum CGPA of 2.5 in their coursework to obtain the graduate diploma. The minimum candidature period is one (1) year and the maximum candidature period is two (2) years.

Master

Students in Master of Digital Marketing are required to complete 60 cu of coursework. The minimum candidature period is one (1) year and the maximum candidature period is four (4) years (average time taken is 1.5 - 2 years). Students have to maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.0 in their coursework as part of the fulfilment of the MDMK programme.

Regular Pathway
The regular pathway (MDMK) is open to Singapore citizens, permanent residents and residents in Singapore. Students on the regular MDMK pathway take a maximum 20 cu of courses per semester and complete the programme in maximum 4 years.

Accelerated Pathway
The accelerated pathway (MDMK-A) is open to international students as well as Singapore citizens, permanent residents and residents in Singapore. Students on the accelerated pathway take 30 cu of courses on average per semester (no more than 35 cu) and complete the programme in 1 year.

Mid-career marketing professionals, business executives, entrepreneurs or any learners who wish to acquire professional advancement and deepen their knowledge of contemporary marketing, should join the programme.

The programme caters to the emerging industrial need for digital marketing talents. It aims to nurture highly specialised digital marketing practitioners. The employment opportunities for our graduates, based on their working experience, can progress from lower to higher rank managerial positions. The job roles include ecommerce associate, ecommerce executive, ecommerce manager, digital marketing specialist, digital marketing strategist/planner, marketing analyst, digital marketing assistant/executive/manager, etc.

  1. How long does it take to complete the Master of Digital Marketing (MDMK) programme?
    The MDMK will take a minimum of one (1) year to a maximum of four (4) years to complete.

  2. When are the lessons scheduled?
    Lessons are usually scheduled on weekday evenings from 7pm to 10pm.

  3. What are the assessment components in each course?
    It consists of a mixture of pre-course quizzes, case discussions, participation, group-based assignments and End of Course Assessments.

  4. What happens if I do not complete the graduate programmes (e.g. Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, Master) within the candidature period? Can I apply to take the remaining courses via CET pathway?
    Students who have not completed their graduate programmes within the stipulated candidature period will not be eligible for the award of the qualification for such graduate programmes. Such students however may apply to take, via the CET pathway, the remaining courses which they did not complete under their graduate programmes as part of their personal learning and development. Such application will be subjected to the CET admission requirement. However, as such students have exceeded the candidature period for their graduate programmes, they will not be awarded the qualification for such graduate programmes even after taking and completing the remaining courses via the CET pathway (“Condition”).
